The chair features an elegant bentwood frame with sweeping cantilevered legs and beautifully curved open armrests. The warm, dark-toned timber provides a handsome contrast to the rich cognac leather upholstery, while stretched support straps beneath the cushions contribute to the chair’s relaxed and ergonomic construction. The generously padded seat and high back are upholstered in supple cognac leather with button-tufted detailing. The leather has developed an attractive natural patina that gives the chair considerable character while retaining its warm colour and tactile quality. The removable leather cushions have recently been professionally cleaned and conditioned by a leather restorer. Structurally sound and extremely comfortable, this is an excellent example of mid-century Norwegian furniture design and an attractive statement lounge chair for a contemporary or vintage interior.
