Cast in aluminum and finished in antique pewter, the column twists like a sapling into three branches that serve as feet. It is a table built on the model of a tree.
The top is 14 inches across at 24 inches high - one drink beside a reading chair, or a fern in the window, which is precisely how the Victorians would have used it. The metal shrugs off water, so plants are welcome.
Branch-form furniture goes back to garden follies and conservatories of the 1800s. Casting the fantasy in metal lets it stand up to actual daily use.
