An elegant pair of antique römer wine glasses in delicate pistachio-green glass, with rounded bowls poised above exceptionally long, hollow stems that flare into trumpet-shaped feet. Two flattened knops beneath each bowl punctuate the slender silhouette, while fine gold bands trace the rims and feet.
The pale yellow-green color deepens where the glass gathers beneath the bowls and around the decorative knops. Slight variations between the two glasses add to their individual character.
Attributed to Theresienthal, circa 1900, based on the combination of pistachio coloring, double-knopped stems, hollow trumpet feet, and gilt borders. The glasses are unmarked, and the maker attribution remains unconfirmed.
A graceful pair for a collector’s cabinet or an intimate table setting.
Dimensions: Each approximately 8.25″ H; mouth diameter 2.25″; foot diameter 2.75″.
Condition: Wear and small losses to the gold decoration at the rims and feet, with scattered surface marks. Please review the detailed photographs.
