Each plate features a distinct hand-painted scene, lending the set appealing variety and the distinctive character of mid-century French decorative ceramics.

The plates are clearly marked St. Clément France on the underside. Established in 1758 in northeastern France near Lunéville, the historic faience manufactory has a long tradition of French earthenware production.

With their whimsical Orientalist-inspired decoration and crisp green, black, and white palette, these plates complement French Country, traditional European, eclectic, and collected interiors. Display them individually or as a group around a mirror, arrange them on a wall-mounted plate rack, or incorporate them into a French Country vaisselier or glazed cabinet. They can also serve as decorative underplates beneath smaller plates for an artful table setting.

A distinctive set for admirers of French faience and Chinoiserie, or anyone looking to add character to a traditional dining room or collected interior. Also a thoughtful gift for a special occasion.
