Sourced as a fine Austrian white porcelain blank, it was beautifully finished with elegant gold-gilt accenting. The stylized, elongated asparagus spears forming the handles and the flowing geometric gilt borders showcase textbook Art Nouveau and Austrian Secessionist design. Specialized vegetable trays like this were centerpiece mainstays during the height of elaborate Late Victorian dining etiquette. On the reverse, original triangulated factory kiln stilt marks provide physical proof of its historic manual firing process. This rare collectible server is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The high-relief molding remains sharp, and the brilliant gold-gilt accents are highly intact with only minimal age-related wear, making it an exceptional display or inventory piece. See less
