A striking collection of four 1980s Japanese-inspired mixed-media collages from the Geisha Robes series by Tim Vana and produced by Kinder-Harris, Inc., the American decorative arts studio founded by Carolyn Kinder and known for its handcrafted, studio-assembled artwork.
Each piece features a hand-applied, kimono-shaped paper element on a glossy black ground, detailed with metallic-toned patterns: geometric latticework, delicate botanicals, flowing scrollwork, and a dramatic radiating sunburst. The layered construction gives each work real dimension, setting it apart from flat reproduction prints. Each is inscribed “Geisha Robe Tim Vana” beneath the composition.
Shown in their original gold-finished frames with wide, textured natural-fiber-style mats edged in black and metallic borders. The warm neutral mats balance the bold black-and-gold artwork. Made to hang together as a four-piece gallery wall, either in a horizontal row or a grid arrangement.
