Produced in the prominent metalworking hub of Alessandria (Piedmont, Italy) during the late twentieth century, the bowl incorporates natural marine themes with traditional tableware styling, featuring defined ridges and a fluted rim that mimics the organic texture of a seashell.

The vessel is shaped from thick 800 continental silver sheet metal, a solid alloy favored across Europe for its strength in utilitarian and tabletop objects. The base is configured to rest flat on furniture surfaces, making it a reliable container for holding keys, jewelry, or small vanity items on an entryway console or bedside table.

Silversmiths in the Piedmont region have an established reputation for high-quality hollowware, translating classical rococo and naturalistic motifs into versatile, elegant accessories for the modern home.
