Presented is an iconic early Scandinavian modernist chaise lounge designed by Bruno Mathsson for Firma Karl Mathsson of Värnamo, Sweden. The sculptural frame features beautifully flowing bent and laminated beechwood, paired with woven canvas webbing that reflects Mathsson's pioneering approach to ergonomic seating. The chair's organic curves and fluid silhouette exemplify the timeless elegance of Swedish modern design.
The chair is in very good vintage condition, with some fraying to the canvas webbing consistent with age and use. The original maker's labels remain present.
