This hand wrought gorgeous and early Mexican hallmarked mid century modern cuff bracelet of sterling silver and amethyst is comprised … Read more This hand wrought gorgeous and early Mexican hallmarked mid century modern cuff bracelet of sterling silver and amethyst is comprised of 10 rows of 8 dome like sterling silver balls with 3 set amethyst stones on top. It give an abacus like form and feel. There are 30 round amethyst stones set in sterling silver and 80 sterling silver half dome balls. The cuff bracelet is not an hard structure and has flexible movement. When opened up all the way the size is 8.5" L/ W. When closed up with the clasp it is 3.5" W/L. The inside diameter when closed up is 2.5".
The height of the bracelet is 2" H and 2" D.
It is hallmarked Mexico silver on the clasp with an inverted W. We do not know who that silversmith was.
It is a very earl work from the late 40's or early 50's. Purple is the color of royalty and regality.
It fits beautifully on the wrist. If your wrist size is a 6 or smaller it will have dangle room and not be a tight fit. If your wrist size is 6.5 or 7 or even 7.5". it will be a better fit with more cuff form.
It is mid century modern. It is a special bracelet. See less
