This exceptional hexagonal lantern is masterfully crafted from heavy wrought iron in a rich, time-worn verdigris patina with traces of its original gilt detailing. The crown and frame feature intricate pierced Gothic tracery, fleur-de-lis motifs, and a regal crown-form top, while the base is adorned with scalloped apron and quatrefoil cutouts. Enclosed by six panels of original heavy seeded glass that beautifully diffuses the light, casting a magical, sparkling glow.

Internally fitted with 6 lights on a central cluster, making this lantern not only architecturally stunning but exceptionally luminous. The authentic distressed finish — with weathered paint, oxidation, and gilded wear — cannot be reproduced and speaks to its age and provenance.
