Stunning and highly unique mid-century Anglo-Indian armchair that perfectly blends classic Western Mission/Arts & Crafts structure with intricate South Asian artisan craftsmanship.
This is a true conversation piece with verified historical provenance, featuring its original brass maker's tag underneath.
✨ Key Details:
• Origin: Manufactured by the prestigious "Kashmir Furniture House" inside the historic Green Hotel Building in Peshawar.
• Era: Circa 1955–1970 (marked with the collectible "West Pak" historical tag).
• Materials: Solid, heavy North Indian Rosewood (Sheesham wood) with a gorgeous, deep grain.
• Craftsmanship: Exquisite, authentic hand-inlaid Tarkashi brass wire and sheet work. Features a beautiful, flowing Kashmiri Chinar leaf and vine design on the arms, top rail, and seat.
• Condition: Beautiful "as-is" vintage condition. Highly desirable authentic aged patina on the brass and deep warmth to the wood. Structurally sound, solid, and sturdy.
