A Depression-era American vanity in walnut and burl walnut veneers, with drawer fronts and accents in quilted maple. The tall shaped mirror has a hand-carved shell-and-scroll crest and sits above a scalloped quilted maple backsplash. Two bow-front step-up drawers flank a serpentine knee-hole top. Each pedestal has a deep drawer faced in burl walnut with contrasting figured maple scroll-work overlays and the original stamped brass ring pulls. Fluted stiles, scalloped aprons, and bold turned front legs complete it. The back has a stenciled factory model number, “NO-108-B”. The mirror’s age-softened silvering suits the period character.
