The owners of Clover's Cottage are slowly starting to part ways with its personal Mid-Century Modern collection. This MCM swivel rocking chair, all in original condition, was inherited from their grandparents and has been in the family since it was purchased in the early 1970s.
Bring ultimate retro comfort and iconic mid-century modern styling into your home with this exceptional 1970s channel-back swivel rocker lounge chair. Draped in a cognac orange faux leather vinyl upholstery, his piece strikes the perfect balance between cozy lounge and a sleek, structural silhouette. Its timeless design features a deep, vertically pleated channel-back backrest framed by crisp, squared-off tuxedo armrest.
The swivel armchair stands proud on a vintage four-prong cross base, a hallmark engineering trait of 1970s lounge seating. Sitting seamlessly beneath the seat frame is a heavy-duty, hidden double platform rocker mechanism. The spring-loaded base is fully operational, allowing the user to pivot smoothly in a fully 360-degree radius while offering a comforting, secure rocking.

The structural wood frame is rock-solid, and the mechanical four-pronged base rocks and swivels quietly without stickiness. Only 2 little blemishes in the faux leather, which is noted in the pictures. There is a slight tear near the arm of the chair and a very small puncture in the lower left back. Overall, this is a wonderfully preserved piece of authentic mid-century modern Americana. less
