An elegant French fireplace set composed of a pair of polished brass andirons and an accompanying wrought iron fire grate, dating from the 20th century. The andirons feature classic spherical finials surmounted by tall spire-shaped pinnacles, supported by richly scrolled brass feet adorned with stylized foliate motifs. Their warm golden finish contrasts beautifully with the darker forged iron elements.
The fire grate is crafted in hammered wrought iron and decorated with an openwork gallery formed by repeating scrolls and star-shaped motifs. On either side are hand-forged iron uprights fitted with brass hanging rings, adding both functionality and visual balance to the composition.
Combining traditional French craftsmanship with decorative refinement, this fireplace ensemble makes an attractive statement in both period and contemporary interiors. The set remains in good vintage condition with light rust oxidation and pitting to the iron and minor wear to the brass, consistent with age and use.
