Here is a beautiful vintage Hollywood Regency coffee table, believed to date to the 1980s, in the style of Maitland-Smith. The sculptural metal frame features a richly colored faux bamboo tortoise shell finish, with decorative leather wrapping along the legs and an intricately woven leather detail at the center of the X-shaped stretcher.
The apron beneath the glass top features what feels like textured, embossed leather with a woven geometric pattern, adding another layer of detail to the design. The generously sized square glass top has beveled edges and clipped corners that fit neatly around the decorative corner posts. Slender tapered legs and a cross-braced base complete the elegant, architectural silhouette.
The combination of warm brown tones, intricate detailing, and clear glass creates a wonderful balance of texture and openness, making this a versatile piece for Hollywood Regency, traditional, or eclectic interiors.

The beveled glass top has some surface scratches and wear, but no chips. A few small sections of missing leather wrapping have been carefully replaced, with minor touch-ups to the faux bamboo finish. Some surface wear and variations in the finish remain, consistent with age and use. Overall, the table presents beautifully. less
