Bring tactile warmth and organic elegance to your tabletop with this striking, hand-thrown studio pottery serving bowl by ceramic artist C. Cly. Masterfully wheel-thrown, the interior features a mesmerizing, deeply incised concentric spiral pattern finished in a high-gloss, pooling reactive glaze that shifts beautifully from rich teal to vibrant seafoam green.
The bowl is framed by an exquisite, hand-applied multi-strand braided clay rope rim, punctuated by elegant finger-pressed accent dips. In beautiful contrast, the exterior walls feature a warm, satin earth-tone brown and gold slip glaze that mimics a wood-grain or reactive organic flow, stopping cleanly just short of the flat, smooth unglazed bottom foot.
Fully signed by the maker on the base, this substantial, heavy-bottomed piece effortlessly anchors Organic Modern, Mid-Century Modern, or Coastal Bohemian interiors. Use it as a functional serving piece, an eye-catching centerpiece, or a standalone sculptural art bowl.
