This elegant set of four dining or salon chairs showcases the refined neoclassicism of the Directoire style, crafted mid-20th century. Each chair features a beautiful oval-back frame fitted with a tightly woven, pristine cane backrest that allows light to filter through seamlessly. The solid wood frames are finished in a weathered, cream-painted finish displaying light rubbing along the edges to accentuate their classic lines.
The generous, round overstuffed seats have been updated with recent fabric, featuring a stylish, cut-velvet geometric medallion pattern in soft taupe and cream tones. The seats are bordered by a molded apron with understated rosette-carved corner blocks, elevated on fluted, tapered front legs with ring-turned cuffs and gently outswept rear saber legs.

We make every reasonable effort to note significant conditions—such as damage, repairs, losses, or areas that may require or benefit from restoration—but the absence of a specific notation does not imply perfect or like-new conditions. Buyers are strongly encouraged to request a detailed condition report, additional photographs, or clarification prior to purchase, especially when upholstery or other condition-sensitive elements are involved. By completing a transaction, the buyer acknowledges that all items are sold with the condition variations inherent to antique and vintage merchandise. less
