This is a famous British sporting and equestrian print published by Messrs. McQueen in 1873. Messrs. McQueen, a highly prominent 19th-century London print publisher renowned for high-quality sporting, hunting, and coaching aquatints and lithographs. It was painted by the English equestrian and military artist Inglis Sheldon-Williams (often referred to simply as Sheldon. The piece vividly captures a traditional horse-drawn wagonette—a popular pleasure carriage built with longitudinal bench seats where passengers face one another. The scene reflects the upper-class British "coaching revival" culture of the late 19th century, detailing the energy of the horses, the architecture of the carriage, and the attire of the passengers. It was purchased in the Late 20th Century in London, framed thereafter in a dark wood with double matte of taupe and white. It is in good overall condition with minimal wear for its usage. See less
