Add a whimsical pop of Italian artistry to your shelving or curation with this rare, Mid-Century Modern ceramic "Queen" face bank by Baldelli. Handmade in Italy during the 1960s, this striking piece features a vibrant lime green glaze accented with bold, stylized black line work depicting a crowned queen with playing card suits (clubs and hearts).
Unlike the more common Baldelli animal banks, this figural face series is highly coveted by collectors and serves as a fantastic standalone sculptural object or bookend. Marked "BALDELLI ITALY" on the bottom.

The glaze remains bright and glossy with no major chips, cracks, or repairs. Incredibly, it retains its original, functional geometric rubber "snowflake" stopper on the underside. Shows minor, age-appropriate wear on the unglazed base ring and some wear in the grooves of the crown consistent with age and authenticity. less
