These vintage chests have been designed with Hollywood Regency and Coastal-Baroque influences. Each chest measures approximately 36 inches wide and features a subtle double breakfront form, with the drawer fronts gently projecting and receding across the facade. The focal point of each chest is the prominent scallop shell motif centered on the upper drawer, with additional shell carvings appearing in the decorative apron at the base, and brass shell-form hardware on drawers, visually tying the composition together. The cases are topped with molded surfaces that echo the drawer configuration below, incorporating a restrained breakfront profile that follows the chest's architectural lines. They are raised on nicely-carved bracket-style feet, softened with sweeping curves which give a pleasing aesthetic to the skirting along three sides. The custom-painted finish is a layered spectrum of peacock blue, weathered turquoise, verdigris, sea-glass green, and oxidized teal. Lighter highlights along moldings, carved details, edges emphasize the carvings and contours. These chests would work exceptionally well as a pair of bedside tables where the shell carvings and peacock blue finish could serve as statement pieces. They would also make striking end chests flanking a sofa, or in an entry hall, placing the pair opposite one another would create symmetry and provide practical storage while introducing color and architectural interest.
