The stepped, low-profile form features two flush-front drawers fitted with substantial cast brass equestrian-style stirrup drop pulls, while oversized pivoting brass carrying handles on each side reinforce its campaign-trunk character. Turned hardwood bun feet complete the architectural silhouette.

The combination of brass sheathing, exposed rivet construction, substantial campaign hardware, and restrained case form reflects the late-20th-century revival of traditional campaign furniture through the lens of Hollywood Regency and Mid-Century brass design. The reflective brass surface displays natural patination and age-related variation that adds depth to the finish.

The piece offers both decorative presence and practical storage, functioning as a cocktail or coffee table in a living room, library, or den, as well as a low chest at the foot of a bed or a statement storage piece in an entry or hallway. Its combination of metallic surface, campaign hardware, and compact proportions works particularly well in Hollywood Regency, Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, Palm Beach, and transitional interiors.
