The ovoid body rises from a narrow foot to a full, rounded shoulder and carries a fitted, domed lid. The large “xi xi” symbol is painted in a dense, solid cobalt-indigo at the center, its geometric strokes standing out against the finer decoration around it. Surrounding it, a dense pattern of scrolling peony and chrysanthemum-like blooms unfurls in feathery, finely drawn leaves and curling tendrils, giving the surface a lively sense of movement. The lid repeats the floral motif, and a narrow band of Greek-key detail circles the shoulder. The blues range from deep navy in the character to a lighter, hand-painted cobalt in the foliage, set against a crisp white ground.
