We called these lady chairs as men looked awkwardly big on them while women's large skirts fanned out beautifully. I love the carved walnut, but alas they don't fit my modern minimalist style. In 2015 or so, I had the dark paint stripped off to reveal the gorgeous brown walnut, which I then tung oiled. An antique upholster replaced the original emerald green velvet with sage velvet, keeping the original backing which you can see in photos. I am hoping these find a good home with someone who loves them! See less
