Vintage Irish Donegal Shamrock Parian China Mantel Clock Set - Harp & Grandfather - Pair
A classic and elegant pairing of traditional Irish craftsmanship, this two-piece vintage mantel clock set is crafted from genuine cream-colored Parian porcelain by the renowned, defunct maker Donegal Parian China. Produced in Ballyshannon, Ireland during the company's independent peak in the late 1980s, these collectible pieces show off the beautiful translucency and soft, satin luster characteristic of premium Irish Parian ware. This company was purchased by Belleek in 1999 and these pieces are rare.
The set includes:
1. The Trinity Harp Clock: Features an embossed harp-string silhouette, an ornate dial face with classic Roman numerals and fleur-de-lis detailing, and a cluster of hand-painted green shamrocks adorning the pedestal base.
2. The Pillar Grandfather Clock: Designed with architectural column ribbing on the reverse and exquisite, hand-carved pierced openwork details on the top front corners that are highlighted with brilliant gold gilt accents.
Both clocks house independent, removable gold-bezeled quartz battery movements. The pedestal clock retains its original orange-and-gold front manufacturer label, while the miniature grandfather clock proudly features the crisp, stamped black circular maker’s mark with the iconic Celtic High Cross on its reverse side. A beautiful nod to heritage, this set makes a stately addition to any mantel, desk, or display cabinet.
