A striking pair of generously sized antique English serving platters decorated in a richly colored Imari-inspired floral pattern.
The vibrant cobalt blue and iron-red blossoms, scrolling foliage, geometric borders, and delicate gilt detailing create an elegant composition reminiscent of traditional English country-house entertaining.
The larger platter is marked Wedgwood, Etruria, England. Their softly aged ivory surfaces, fine crazing, and warm patina contribute to their authentic antique character.
Wonderful displayed as a pair on a dining room wall, layered on a large sideboard, or incorporated into a collection of antique English ceramics.
