This charming pair of figures depicts Pixiu, mythical beasts traditionally associated with attracting wealth and warding off evil. Each figure is crafted from bronze with a rich, dark patina and accented with traces of gold and red pigment, giving them an aged, antique appearance. The creatures are shown in a crouching pose with their heads raised and mouths open. Their bodies are detailed with scrolling manes, stylized facial features, and a collar adorned with a bell and round medallions, some containing auspicious characters. The base of one figure bears a cast seal mark. This set is a fine example of traditional decorative art, combining detailed casting with subtle polychrome accents.
