Danish Art Nouveau Chairs with Floral Needlepoint Seats, 1900s. Set of 2.
Very decorative pair of matching antique side chairs in solid mahogany with hand carved details. Made in Denmark 1890-1910 in the Art Nouveau style which was called Skønvirke in Denmark.
Wonderful hand embroidered fabric with floral and foliage motifs have been added to the spring seats in the 1950s.
Good and clean estate condition with patina consistent with age and use. Some earlier repairs to the backrest and back left corner of the seat frame, please photos.
