Elevate your tabletop styling with this sophisticated vintage decagonal decorative box or tea caddy by the renowned luxury home furnishings maker, Maitland-Smith. Produced in the late 20th century, this handsome piece pays homage to the grand elegance of 19th-century British Regency antiques.
The box features a striking ten-sided body topped with a beautifully structured, tented matching lid. It is meticulously hand-finished with a rich, glossy faux-tortoiseshell lacquer that captures the authentic depth, warmth, and variance of real shell. The geometric lines of the decagon shape are crisply highlighted by cream-colored faux-ivory edge banding, creating an exquisite contrast.
Perfectly scaled for a desk, mantle, bookshelf, or vanity, this versatile box brings classic Chinoiserie and Hollywood Regency flair to both traditional and modern eclectic interiors. It isn’t tagged.
