Part of Montblanc’s celebrated Muses collection, the Greta Garbo design translates the actress’s unmistakable glamour into an exceptionally sculptural and feminine writing instrument.

The pen is distinguished by its elongated, gently curved silhouette, combining a glossy black precious-resin barrel with a contrasting cream-colored precious-resin cap. Gold-tone appointments provide a sophisticated counterpoint to the monochromatic body, while the cap ring is embellished with Greta Garbo’s signature.

Its most recognizable detail is the elegant clip, terminating in a white round Akoya pearl measuring approximately 5.25 mm. This jewel-like accent gives the pen its distinctive character and immediately identifies it with the Greta Garbo design.

Rather than adopting the heavier proportions of a traditional executive pen, Montblanc gave this model a graceful, elongated profile that evokes the streamlined sophistication and restrained glamour associated with Garbo herself. The combination of black, ivory, gold and pearl gives the piece a distinctly Art Deco-inspired aesthetic, making it equally appealing as a functional writing instrument and as a collectible design object.

The pen is hallmarked/marked Montblanc Greta Garbo and was made in Germany.

Particularly desirable for the collector, this example is accompanied by documentation relating to a recent service as well as an authenticity letter. These documents add important provenance and confidence for a serious Montblanc collector.

A sophisticated addition to a luxury desk, library or writing collection, the pen also makes an exceptional gift for collectors of Montblanc writing instruments, Hollywood memorabilia, Art Deco-inspired design and luxury accessories.
