An elegant pair of Louis XVI period cabriolet armchairs, dating from the late 18th century, in carved wood.
A very beautiful pair with a superb patina and some traces of their original paint.
The armchairs feature a rectangular back framed by simple, molded uprights. The armrests, adorned with cuffs, rest on baluster supports with exquisite turning.
The slightly curved front seat rail rests on tapered legs. The connecting blocks are decorated with carved rosettes, while the front uprights feature fluting. The rear legs are also fluted.
Both armchairs are upholstered in green Genoa velvet, trimmed with braid. The upholstery is of exceptional quality and in very good condition.
In perfect condition with very fine woodwork.
