Elevate your holiday display or year-round ceramic collection with this stunning Wedgwood pale blue jasperware miniature Portland Vase ornament. Masterfully crafted in England from signature matte unglazed stoneware, this exquisite holiday piece is a meticulous scaled replica of the legendary 1st-century Roman cameo glass Portland Vase—celebrated as Josiah Wedgwood’s most historical triumph.
The vessel features timeless neoclassical bas-relief figures crisp white against the traditional pale blue background. The detailed cameo iconography wraps the body gracefully, bracketed by a delicate bottom freeze and topped with the iconic double-twisted handles adorned with bearded terminal masks.
This non-dated design comes complete with its original white satin Wedgwood-branded jacquard hanging ribbon clean and intact. It is perfectly versatile, standing freestanding as a miniature accent vase on a mantel or suspended as a luxury statement ornament on a holiday tree. Wedgwood's original 1789/1790 masterwork, this specific collectible hanging ornament was released for 2019 to commemorate Wedgwood’s 260th Anniversary (1759–2019). Like many annual and heritage pieces from the collection, the design itself is not dated directly on the relief porcelain. See less
