Solid wood is carved into a radiating arrangement of fluted rays around a central rosette, creating a rhythmic pattern that adds movement and depth to a wall. The original finish has been well preserved, with a warm aged patina, gentle sheen, and natural tonal variation that highlight the carving. Its classic form can complement vintage, traditional, or mid-century interiors, where it can serve as a focal point above a console, fireplace, or other open wall area.

The medallion measures 30 inches wide by 2.75 inches deep by 30.25 inches high. It is in very good vintage condition, with a well-preserved original finish and minor surface wear and slight discoloration consistent with age. The piece remains structurally sound, with no visible repairs or significant damage. The generous scale and detailed rays give this wall accent a sense of presence while retaining the approachable character of an aged, original decorative object. The carving’s repetition catches changing light across the surface and reinforces its decorative impact. See less
