We have had others from this collection and are … Read more We recently purchased this RARE antique chromolithgraph while shopping in Europe. We have had others from this collection and are happy to add this image. It is a 1910 botanical design chromolithograph published by Christian Stoll in Plauen, Germany. It came from an unbound portfolio of motifs for rugs, lacework, and fabrics. Plauen, at the time, was a center of textile manufacturing with a world renown design school. This chromolithograph is a beautifully decorative image of “stylized flowers”. It is done in a soft muted color palatte of shades of gray, silver and touches of light yellow tones. It showcases Art Nouveau floral motifs with delicate detailing. Zoom in to see the layering of intricate work. These images are now extremely RARE to find, especially in mint condition. This image is in excellent antique condition with no indication of age...no foxing, no discolorations, no tears. 8.5 x 14.5 inches in size.
