Here is a charming vintage Italian-style toleware umbrella stand, likely made in the later mid-century, 1960s. Designed in the shape of an open umbrella, it features a rich, high-gloss black finish with gold floral and foliate decoration beneath a thick, clear protective coating.
The scalloped, pointed rim is accented with small ball finials and decorative metal supports, while a beautifully twisted gold-tone crook handle rises above the center. An ornate pedestal base with a patterned border completes the design. The cane handle unscrews for easier shipping.
