This vintage late 19th to early 20th-century Italian Neoclassical/Hollywood Regency style "Scales of Justice" features a 24" tall green/grey, twisted spiral alabaster/onyx marble column set on a stepped square base, paired with intricate brass filigree metalwork, detachable brass crossbeam, brass hanging link chains and brass hanging pans. The crossbeam detaches easily from the top bracket. The scale is held together by a metal rod that runs inside through the middle.
The intricate details and historical significance of this piece add to its appeal as a collector's item or decorative item for those passionate about antiques. Also, the scales represent justice and equity, making it a fitting and meaningful piece for professionals in the legal field, lawyers and judge's offices.

Good vintage condition, with authentic age and patina. The marble/Onyx is strong and intact with light surface scuffs and minor chipping around the lower edges/corners of the stepped base. There are some chippings on the upper part. The brass shows natural surface oxidation/tarnishing, consistent with age. Underside threaded rod and hex nut show light surface rust.
