The substantial crystal body is divided into three elegantly curved sections, each decorated with a different finely engraved fruit motif: a cluster of grapes, two plums and a group of cherries. Delicately rendered leaves and sweeping stems surround the fruit, creating an especially graceful botanical composition across the lightly frosted surface. The understated engraved areas contrast beautifully with the brilliant, deeply hand-cut decoration. Elaborate fan cuts, star motifs, geometric diamond facets and polished curved borders converge in the center to form a highly decorative crystalline composition. The sharply cut, notched rim and repeating star-cut border provide an additional level of refinement and allow the crystal to capture and reflect the light from every angle. Weighing approximately 1.2 kilograms, the bowl has a substantial and luxurious presence. It is ideally suited for presenting fruit, berries, confectionery or delicacies, while also functioning beautifully as a decorative centerpiece on a dining table, console or sideboard. The bowl remains in exceptionally good vintage condition. Only the most minimal signs of use are visible on the underside upon very close inspection. No significant chips, cracks or distracting damage.
