Here is a charming pair of nesting tables in the Florentine Baroque style, made in Florence in the 1950s-1960s according to the great Tuscan artisanal tradition. Their wooden tops with scalloped and shaped edges are adorned with rich relief decorations: scrolls, medallions, and interlacing patterns. The elegantly curved cabriole legs are entirely covered in similoro leaf, a copper-zinc alloy that so beautifully imitates gold, a testament to patient and meticulous craftsmanship. A set full of character, ideal for bringing a touch of Baroque dolce vita to any interior.

The tables are vintage and date from the 1960s. They are in good condition; some cracks and signs of wear are visible in the photos. The original labels, still present, read: "Gorato a mano con foglia di Similoro – Florence, Made in Italy".

The large table is 44cm long, 35cm deep, and 58cm high. The small table is 32cm wide and 44cm high. See less
