This charming pair of antique celadon glazed guardian lions brings a serene, historical presence to any interior. Each lion is finely modeled in a playful yet protective stance, with one paw resting upon a large, intricately detailed brocade ball. They feature expressive faces with prominent fangs, curled manes, and flowing tails. The celadon glaze exhibits a beautiful, subtle crackle and a soft green tone with areas of brownish-yellow along the edges and paw pads. The hollow bases suggest they may have been designed as joss stick holders or simply as decorative objects. These figures are perfect for display on a console, desk, or as part of a collection of Asian ceramics.
