A stunning, authentic mid-century modern Italian Murano art glass centerpiece bowl, hand-blown in Venice, Italy, circa 1960–1970. Crafted using a masterfully executed sommerso (submerged multi-layered) technique, this sculptural vessel transitions from a vibrant, fiery ruby-red rim into a brilliant orange ombré border and a clear-cased body, terminating in a striking teal and light-blue starburst base.
The hot molten glass was pulled and manipulated entirely by hand into a dynamic, fluid "splash" or jagged star form—making this piece completely unique. Originally cataloged in the mid-20th century as a luxury statement ashtray or vide-poche, it serves beautifully today as a centerpiece catchall, candy dish, or a freestanding glass sculpture.

The glass retains beautiful clarity and vibrancy with no cracks, chips, or fleabites to the pulled star points. The underside base and a some on the sides exhibits faint, genuine shelf-wear scuffing and light micro-scratches consistent with its age and authentic handling. less
