The upper section is the … Read more This large American corner cupboard is built in two pieces to facilitate transport and installation. The upper section is the larger part and features a bold crown above a single astragal glazed door comprising six hand-blown panes of wavy glass, secured with original putty. The door opens on sturdy iron hinges to reveal two well-placed shelves. The interior is painted blue. The primitive wooden closure is a replacement, mounted on a new wooden knob. The base section contains two shallow beaded drawers, lap-joined at the front and hand-cut dovetailed at the rear, and two flat paneled doors, again with replaced closures mounted on new wooden knobs. The interior is painted off-white and opens to a single shelf. The chamfered sides form nice bracket feet which flank an attractive scalloped bottom rail. See less
