A handsome vintage walnut nightstand or end table by Mastercraft of Grand Rapids, dating to the 1970s–1980s.
This substantial cabinet features beautifully figured walnut veneer with a warm golden-brown finish, framed by polished brass banding along the front perimeter and base. The double doors are accented with Mastercraft’s distinctive circular brass pulls, giving the piece a refined Hollywood Regency-meets-modernist presence.
Behind the doors is a spacious interior with a fixed shelf, offering useful storage while maintaining a clean, architectural exterior. Its compact proportions make it particularly versatile — equally well suited as a bedside table, end table, small bar cabinet, or accent cabinet.
The original Mastercraft Grand Rapids label is present on the back, confirming the maker.
A particularly attractive feature of this example is the expressive walnut grain, especially across the top and side panels, which gives the cabinet a rich, highly decorative appearance.
A sophisticated vintage piece with enough presence to stand on its own, while remaining extremely functional.
