Unlike traditional cloisonné, this bowl is made without a copper body—the enamel and fine gilt wires form the structure itself, resulting in a remarkably thin, lightweight, and semi-translucent vessel. The bowl features a deep, rounded form with a wide, slightly flared rim, both finished with polished gold gilding. The exterior and interior are densely patterned against a deep emerald green ground with a fine, golden "fish-scale" wire mesh. The design is adorned with hand-painted floral sprays featuring white, pale yellow, and pink blossoms with green leaves, connected by scrolling gilt vines. The rim is bordered by a delicate, gilded dotted band. The base is finished with a solid gold-toned rim. This is a highly decorative and collectible piece, ideal for display or as part of an Asian art collection.
