Bring timeless Swedish elegance to your tabletop with this beautiful set of vintage Koka Blå (Cook Blue) plates. Designed by the legendary ceramic artist Hertha Bengtson in 1953, this iconic collection captures the absolute essence of mid-century Scandinavian functionalism. Manufactured by the renowned Rörstrand porcelain factory in Sweden between 1956 and 1988, the series has since been discontinued, making it a highly sought-after collectible for vintage and MCM design enthusiasts.
Each plate features a crisp, clean white center elegantly framed by a stylized, vibrant cobalt blue border decorated with rhythmic, hand-painted linear patterns. Crafted from exceptionally durable, high-quality stoneware, these versatile pieces balance artistic craftsmanship with everyday practicality.
These vintage plates are in excellent pre-owned condition. Expect minor, age-appropriate wear such as faint utensil marks, which only add to the unique character and history of these vintage Scandinavian classics. No major cracks, chips, or crazing.
Dimensions: 8.25" diameter x 0.5" high.
