The symmetrical crest is … Read more Late 19th to early 20th-century cast iron architectural pediment salvaged from a commercial or institutional building. The symmetrical crest is richly ornamented with scrolling foliate forms, floral rosettes, molded borders, and classical detailing characteristic of Victorian architectural ironwork. Layers of weathered green and cream paint remain across the surface, giving the piece a distinctive aged appearance while revealing portions of the cast iron beneath. Originally incorporated into a building facade, storefront, cornice, or similar architectural installation, the substantial fragment is now well suited for use as a decorative architectural element. Includes a custom-built wood storage and shipping crate.
