A Silver Tetradrachm trimmed with 18 Karat gold minted at Athens, Attica circa 100 BC under the Magistrates: Timostratos, Poses, … Read more A Silver Tetradrachm trimmed with 18 Karat gold minted at Athens, Attica circa 100 BC under the Magistrates: Timostratos, Poses, and Lach. On the obverse side, the head of Athena Parthenos facing right, wearing a richly ornamented triple crest helmet adorned with Pegasus and foreparts of horses all in a circular inclusive border. On reverse side, an owl standing right on a prostrate amphora vase with a standing figure of Dionysos holding a mask all within an olive wreath. The weight of the coin is 16.66 grams and the diameter is 30.65 mm not including gold trim and bail. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin.
