Rarely found in such a large, nearly complete service, this 49-piece French La Révolution stoneware dinnerware set dates to 1967 and features colorful hand-painted decoration inspired by the French Revolution.
The pieces are individually decorated with charming historical imagery, including hot-air balloons, village scenes, birds, cannons, French inscriptions, and dates referencing 1789, 1790 and 1791. The hand-painted palette of blue, ochre, green, rust and brown gives the set wonderful French provincial character.
The set includes 8 dinner plates, 8 salad plates, 8 bread plates, 8 soup bowls, 8 saucers, 7 cups, 1 creamer and 1 sugar bowl without lid.
All pieces are in mint condition with bright, well-preserved decoration. A rare opportunity to acquire such an extensive coordinated French set. All pieces are marked ship in two boxes.
