Each plate centers on a stylized lotus blossom medallion, surrounded by scrolling vines, foliage, additional lotus flowers, and ornamental borders. The deep cobalt and indigo decoration stands out beautifully against the warm ivory ceramic ground, while variations in the brushwork and glaze give the set the distinctive character associated with artisan-made Bat Trang pottery.
The reverse of each plate features additional freehand cobalt motifs around the exterior and is marked “Bat Trang Vietnam.”

Measuring 7 inches in diameter, these versatile plates are ideal for desserts, appetizers, bread, fruit, small salads, or tapas. Their classic blue-and-white palette also makes them wonderful for mixing with other vintage Bat Trang pieces, chinoiserie-inspired tableware, or collected dinnerware.
