A handsome vintage writing desk handcrafted in Paraguay, featuring a warm cognac leather inset top with an elaborate hand-tooled border of scrolling foliage and decorative motifs. The richly grained dark wood frame creates a beautiful contrast with the leather and gives the piece a refined, old-world look.
A single center drawer with a decorative dark metal pull provides useful storage for stationery, remotes, or small personal items. At 44 inches wide, this is a versatile size for use as a writing desk, small-scale home office desk, entry table, sofa table, vanity, or accent table in a library or bedroom.
The underside retains its handwritten “Made in Paraguay” label. The leather has an appealing aged patina with light surface marks, creasing, and wear consistent with vintage use. The wood also shows minor scuffs and finish wear along the edges and legs. These signs of age contribute to the desk’s authentic vintage character; please review all photographs carefully.
