Combining sturdy rural craftsmanship with subtle provincial elegance, the chair features a traditional ladder-back design with four shaped slats, a handwoven rush seat, and gracefully curved cabriole front legs.

The warm oak frame displays a rich patina acquired through decades of use, highlighting the natural character of the wood and the quality of its construction. Distinctive turned elements and a turned front stretcher add decorative interest, while the cabriole legs introduce a refined touch that elevates the chair beyond purely utilitarian country furniture.

Its woven rush seat provides both visual warmth and textural contrast, embodying the timeless appeal of French provincial interiors. Equally well suited as a dining chair, occasional chair, or decorative accent, this piece complements farmhouse, country-house, rustic, and eclectic interiors alike.

Presented in good antique condition, with normal signs of age and use consistent with its history, contributing to its authentic charm and character. See less
