A set of twenty-three French ceramic plates and bowls from the 1960s, each one hand-thrown and incised with a repeating, radial motif. Curving lines and teardrop forms unfold across the surface, creating a quiet, almost calligraphic rhythm that centers the composition.
The glaze sits low and matte, shifting between smoky charcoal, oxidized green, and warm mineral tones. It gathers unevenly at the edges and within the carved lines, accentuating the relief and giving each piece a slightly different depth of color. No two read exactly the same.
Each piece is signed “JLP” to the underside. Comprising seventeen plates and six bowls.
Condition: In great vintage condition. Subtle irregularities and tonal shifts throughout, inherent to the handmade process. Signed “JLP” along the underside.
Additional Dimensions: Bowls: 7.75"W x 7.75"D x 1.75"H
